One Man Killed, Two More Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on O’Connor Road [San Antonio, TX] Car Collision on Wurzbach Parkway Caused One Driver Lost His Life and Two Sustained InjuriesSAN ANTONIO, TX (October 11, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, a multi-vehicle crash on O’Connor Road killed one man and injured two others.The accident happened just before 2:30 a.m. on September 24th, in the 12400 block of O’Connor Road.According to SAPD, a truck got hit head-on by a driver who had violated the double yellow lines of the road, causing the other driver’s truck to roll and land on its right side.Responders found one of the cars in a ditch, another one with significant damage, and a truck fell on its side.Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced one passenger dead at the scene.Meanwhile, medical responders rushed the other passengers and the truck driver from the Ford to a hospital for further treatment.Following preliminary duties, officers believed that drugs or alcohol were a factor. Police identify Oakland man shot and killed outside of local hotel OAKLAND — Police here have identified a man who was recently shot and killed outside of a hotel on International Boulevard.Walter Mancia Menjivar, 25, of Oakland, was fatally shot on shortly before 1 a.m. on Sept. 27, on the 5700 block of International Boulevard. Alleged fraudulent roofers causing intentional damage to Bay Area homes of elderly residents (KRON) -- An emerging crime trend in the Bay Area involving unlicensed roofing contractors causing intentional damage and demanding payment for repairs is targeting elderly residents, the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office warned Tuesday.According to the DA’s office, the suspects are men who sound and appear to be of Irish descent and use vehicles marked with fraudulent roofing service decals. The men make unsolicited contact with elderly residents at their homes and offer free roofing inspections or cheap repairs.
